Free Woodchips
Tree chipping is a common means of removing limbs and branches after they have been cut with a portable tree chipper. When you hire Young’s Tree Tech, LLC , we will include tree chipping in the price of your quote. It does not cost extra to have your tree chipped.
Chipping trees benefits our customers by condensing the space needed to haul off your removed trees and their limbs. Most of the tree limbs can fit into our portable tree chippers. The chipper is motorized and with sharp blades that chop up the tree limbs and leaves and blow them into the back of their enclosed service truck. Tree chipping is an integral part of having trees cut down. Cutting down a tree always involves getting rid of the material. However, if you want the material left in your yard, please request this at the time of the quote. Most people want to have their yards completely cleaned up when the tree service leaves.
Woodchip Applications
- Mulching - Wood chips are commonly used as mulch material in gardens, flowerbeds, and around trees and shrubs. They help retain moisture in the soil, suppress weed growth, and regulate soil temperature.
- Soil Improvement - You can incorporate wood chips into the soil to enhance its structure, drainage, and nutrient content. They break down slowly, releasing organic matter and nutrients that benefit plant growth.
- Erosion Control - Use wood chips on slopes and erosion-prone areas to prevent soil erosion. They create a protective layer that stabilizes the soil and reduces water runoff.
- Pathways and Trails - Wood chips are excellent for creating walking paths, trails, or play areas. They provide a natural and comfortable surface, reducing dust and mud.
- Playground Surfaces - Wood chips are a popular choice for playground surfaces due to their cushioning effect, which helps absorb impact and reduce the risk of injuries from falls.
- Composting - You can add wood chips to compost piles to balance the carbon-to-nitrogen ratio and improve decomposition. They add organic matter and help create nutrient-rich compost.
- Decorative Landscaping - Wood chips can be used for ornamental purposes in landscaping, such as creating borders, edging, or filling decorative containers. They add a natural and rustic touch to outdoor spaces.
